I went to Bikram’s all day seminar yesterday at Darling Harbour & it was just fantastic. I have not been practising that regularly the last couple of months due to work commitments, but the seminar was so motivating & just the best. After close to ten years of practising on & off (more off than on), it was great to meet the man behind the yoga. When we finished my friend & I just had the biggest smiles on our faces & I am still feeling it today 🙂 Wondered if anyone else went & what they thought …
I didn’t go, but isn’t Bikram amazing. He is so able to inspire you.
Keep going to class and make sure the inspiration goes to good use.I keep reminding myself how much I’ve gotten out of this practice.
Yeah definitely. I feel so motivated at the moment. He has some wierd ideas (like the no food is the best food one :-)) but despite that, the day was such a great experience & I am so glad I got to attend.
Yes, no food is the best food, and no sleep.
Yeah, but listen to all the stuff that makes sense, and you’ll be fine.
I sometimes get frustrated by parts of Bikrams ideas, but the good is so good that that I learned to just let go of the things that don’t work for me.
I know I’m disappointing Boss, but I like to eat…that is what I was saying to my friend that came to the seminar with me. I just disregard the crazy stuff, have a laugh etc, but you can’t argue with the results, the way you feel after class… & that’s what keeps you coming back to the torture chamber for more !
Bikram is coming to Florida in November so I’m very glad to read about your experiences at his seminar. It makes me look forward to it even more.
Thanks,
LeeI came over from Auckland for the seminar (about 10 from our studio did also). It was so great to meet him in person, hear him speak and do a class with him. Some of what he spoke about resignated so much with me, how to just “be” and to have awareness as we live our lives etc. And I loved the “junk body, crazy mind, lost soul” analogy 🙂
Like the others I found the “no food is good food” a bit hard to get my head around, and sorry boss I need my sleep! But the rest of what he says makes so much sense and he is an inspiration to be around. Def has got me thinking about TT!
