    Hi Gabrielle,

I have quite flexible spine and during back bend, I can bend very deep (I
can see the back of my ankles, pointed fingers 15-20cms from the floor) however I’ve had problems locking my knees. As soon as I go really deep, my knees tend to bend slightly to compensate for the depth.

Do I go too far and should I hold back and prioritise on the locked knee prior rather than going deep into the posture?
    Any tips?

    thanks,
    Val

    Hi Val

Yes you are right to question this. I would try to lock the legs as the priority. Use it as the yardstick to measure your progress rather than the depth of your backbend!

See how that changes the way you feel in your pose and come back and update us one day!

    Namaste
    Gabrielle 🙂
