I’m new to yoga but a friend actually recommended it to me as a low-impact way to strengthen my lower back, which is very weak. What are some moves I could do to strengthen my back? Thanks! =)

Check out this video in the forum under announcements.
You’ll find exercises for strengthening your lower back and core. Thanks for the link, Wendy. Being new to the website, I’m still learning my way around. 🙂 When I first read that, I thought it said, “You’ll find exercises for strengthening you lower back and MORE.”, but when I went back and read it again, I realized that it actually says, “…and CORE.”, so I’m looking forward to watching the video, since it balances out one muscle group with the other. 🙂
I’ve been doing the “ball” exercise every other day for about 6 weeks now and I’m noticing a Hugh difference in CORE and LOWER back strength! I’m even noticing some definition (muscle tone) in the Transverse Abdominal region. Me likey! 🙂
Where did you get your exercise ball? What brand is it? Thanks!
Hi Blondiesorganic,
I use the balls they have at the gym. I don’t know what brand they are.
I assume you could purchase one at your local sporting goods retail outlet or at Amazon.com if you don’t have a Retail outlet in close proximity.Wendy
Thanks Wendy!!
