Los Angeles, April 15, 2010 – In observation of National Yoga Month September 2010, the Yoga Health Foundation calls for all yoga studios, teachers and students to go online at http://www.yogamonth.org and get involved to create one Yoga Month event in every city across the United States.
September marks a significant milestone in the “yoga for health” movement. It is official National Yoga Month (designated by the Department of Health & Human Services) designed to build awareness of yoga’s proven health benefits and inspire people to participate in over 2,000 free yoga classes and events nationwide.
Yoga studios and teachers ask encouraged to join the grassroots awareness campaign by:
• Hosting free classes or events: Reach out to your community and offer free yoga classes or events. List the event in our national database at yogamonth.org.
• Join ONE WEEK FREE YOGA new student program: Invite new students to your studio by accepting the One Week Free Yoga card (available only for new students)
• Inspire through TITANS OF YOGA DVD: Support the awareness campaign and increase your studio revenue by offering the Official Yoga Month DVD to your students.
