Hello new friends, I was wondering what type of heaters you use to heat your studios? I have heard that Powerhouse and Patron make good heaters. But I am looking for the most energy efficent space heater for a 2,000 sq ft studio space, 10-12 foot ceilings. Also, what type of hardwood floor would you recommend? What about managing humidity? Any other suggestions? Thank you and namaste, Yoga Chick
Hello to you too, Sunshine and welcome to the forum! Thanks for joining us.
It’s great you could give some dimensions for your studio. It’s a lovely big space.
I imagine you’ve taken a look around at other posts. If you haven’t already then use the search facility above or just look around in this category (“The Heat”).
Importantly (and especially if you have hard floors) a lot of attention on insulation is crucial. Both walls and ceiling if you can manage. Otherwise you are going to lose a lot of heat. Do you have double glazed windows?
How many people are in your classes? It could help with understanding your need for a humidifier.
Have you had a heating specialist give you any ideas?
Namaste

what type of heaters did you end up using for your yoga studio?
Hi everyone!
I’m starting Hot Yoga in a friends studio in the UK and we are still scratching our heads about how we should heat the room. Portable Infra-Red seems to be the way forward but after many hours on the phone I’m getting nowhere:-(
Any advise about make/model would be really appreciated. Thanks for listening! -
