Well, seeing as how I’ve been commenting left and right on other posts, I figured I would get the ball rolling in this little section as well.
About me: I’m a late-twenty-something gal living in Washington, D.C., and have been practicing Bikram yoga for a little over a year and a half. Before I gave up all other sports/activities for yoga, I was a water polo player, swimmer, runner, and frequent visitor to kickboxing and spinning classes. Needless to say, I have years and years of scar tissue and wear and tear I work through each day in my yoga class!
As of today, I’m on day 27 of a 30-day Bikram yoga challenge. You can track my thoughts on this whole experience (and a few other things) on my blog: http://hannahjustbreathe.wordpress.com. I’ve both hated and loved this challenge, but I would encourage every yogi to give it a try. Some day, I want to try for 50 days, maybe even 60…can you imagine??
I’m really enjoying this forum Gabrielle and Robert have begun–yoga is endlessly fascinating to me, and I’m always looking to learn more about my practice and the practice of my fellow yogis. And here is the perfect place! So please keep sharing, everyone.
