Hi.
I’ve been practicing for several years with varying amounts of frequency –
Three months ago, I had an accident and injured my PCL. Not a full tear, but a Grade 1 or 2. I’ve been rehabbing it with the bike and stretching / strengthening prescribed by a Physical Therapist, but its healing has stalled out and I’m thinking of going back to the yoga studio to add some heat and see if it helps the process.
I’m about at 85% of the way there but I still don’t have full range of motion – can’t sit back on my heels or lock my knee – but most of the postures don’t bother me.
I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this particular ligament, or any insight. I see tons of info on ACL, MCL, but nothing on the PCL.
I’ve hurt myself in the past by pushing myself too far (both in and out of yoga) so I’d like to understand a little about boundaries before I jump in and maybe make things worse.
