sebastienHi Sebastien
Seems to be a strong link to your practice doesn’t it? You have a regular practice so one would think that if it had something to do with cleansing wastes that that would have happened and your skin would be clear.
I have a friend who had a similar problem and I will ask her what made the difference for her.
In the meantime, fellow yogis, give us your opinion, your tips, your advice.
Lastly on a woo woo level, I am wondering whether you are aware of any beliefs you have around your spots. Is there a belief in there that you can’t do anything about them when you do yoga? Or maybe that when you stop practicing they disappear? Or maybe you believe strongly that the yoga will cleanse you and they will disappear. You may like to sit with that one and really work out on an intuitive level what deep seated belief you have around your skin. Perhaps you will have a revelation, perhaps not. I know there are other approaches that are possible (and together we can talk about them if it fits in with you) … Hmmmm… just something to think about!

Gabrielle 🙂PS thank you for the compliments on the site! :cheese:
Hi Sebastien,
Following up on what Gabrielle was saying in thinking beyond just the yoga influencing your skin…
I find my diet and my stress level plays a huge part in my skin’s health. The moment I let myself get run down, don’t pay attention to my diet (i.e., a good balance of fruits, veggies, protein, and water), and don’t get enough sleep, I notice a change in my skin, i.e., dry, flaky, perhaps a break out or two. Alcohol also does a number on my skin. It makes perfect sense—why wouldn’t what you put into your body reflect on the outside??
Also, you might want to consider going to see a dermotologist. He/she could probably prescribe a mild topical cream that would really help.
Good luck!

sebastienFor the past 6 weeks I have had pimples on my face, too. Mainly they are just above my eyebrows. They aren’t typical white heads, more oily glands. Not being able to stand it any longer, as I have never had experienced pimples (not even through puberty), I went to the Dr. to seek some advice.
He made a quick diagnosis calling it rosacea (adult acne) and perscribed me an antibiotic cream (that began helping after the first application). Also, he commented that I should stay away from too much heat. Being that it is fall, I knew the outside weather wouldn’t have bearing. It was then that I told him I practised Bikram Yoga. Of course, he suggested that I might stop for a while, but inside I told myself – not possible.
If you haven’t made a visit to your Dr. it might be worth the visit.
all the best,
MOJO -
