    Hello!

I just want to start by saying how much I appreciate that a resource like this is available. This is my first time posting, however I have been gleaning information from it for several months.

My question is regarding the back bend portion of half moon. After I drop my head back and pull my arms towards my ears I feel a couple of pops in my chest. Is this just a result of my chest opening?

    Thank you!

    Hi Alisa

Where is the location of the popping? What happens if you don’t pull the arms back so much?

    Hi!

The popping occurs in the center of my chest and feels as though it is coming from my sternum. One of the instructors at my studio suggested that it was coming from my spine and radiating through my chest but it really feels like it is happening in the front of my chest. Nothing happens when I hang out in the posture. It is not until I squeeze my hips forward and pull my arms back that I feel the popping.
