Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to what postures (if any) should be avoided after returning from hernia surgery about a week ago? Or maybe it’s just a case of attempting everything and seeing what is possible and not possible…..
Any help from anyone that has been through this or had students with this would be much appreciated!
Many thanks,
lizeb79Hi Laura
Just to be sure can you please tell me what kind of hernia you had operated on. When we talk about hernias it can apply to herniated discs or abdominal hernias etc. So please clarify. If it was an abdo hernia, then I am interested to know if it was one of those 2 hour outpatient jobbies or whether you stayed overnight.

Gabrielle 🙂Thanks for being so prompt Gabrielle….I should have been more specific but I am actually a teacher asking on behalf of another teacher asking for one of his students…..he is yet to discover the wonders of your website so I said I would throw it out there to you via this forum. I’m assuming that it’s abdominal and I’m not sure if it was overnight stay or longer….I will find out and let you know asap.
I want to thank you so much for this wonderful site and community that you have created. It’s so fantastic! THANK YOU!
Light and Blessings!!!😆
Ah that’s funny! It’s one of those friend of a friend of a friend things. Or rather a student of a teacher of a teacher … whatever!!! 😉
We can’t assume it’s an abdominal hernia because the most common hernia for men is an inguinal hernia. For women it’s the abdominal one.
It may be worth asking this man to come onto the forum.
Anyway, I still can’t answer the question without knowing what we’re dealing with. But, as usual, happy to help.
‘See’ you soon
Namaste
