I can’t seem to be able relax my shoulders when I inhale. It is almost as if they were locke half way up. Any thoughts on how to fix this?
Thank you!
just a thought???!!!!! why not try taking exaggerated deep inhales bringing your shoulders wayyyyyyyy up to your ears hen throw out your breath exhale and DROP them down again. Do this a few times. this technique of tense and relax is one way to get a muscle to calm down
Thank you very much for your suggestion! Do I do this when I do Pranayama, or do I do it as a separate exercise?
Thanks again!!
LilianaHi Liliana
How are you going with the Pranayama exercise now? What help would you like now?
BTW: I am happy to be corrected but I am pretty sure that Amy meant for you to do that as a separate exercise and not during Pranayama.

Gabrielle 🙂I have finally begun to feel my lats are streching up a bit! So, I am able to bring my elbows somehow above my ears while keeping my shoulders down.
I now feel some resistance at the base of my fingers. Is that normal? how can I improve that?
Thank you 🙂

Hi Liliana
Ummmm …. practice ought to do it! :cheese:
You could also try interlocking fingers behind your back and extending your arms and palms away from you.
It’s a ‘do the time’ kinda thang.

Gabrielle 🙂I can try that! thanks Gabrielle:) By the way, have you ever seen tight lats regain their flexibility? or will they just improve a little bit? I am asking because those tight lats of mine make difficult lots of the poses…and I feel sometimes that will not change:(
