Is there any modification for rabbit pose? I am simply not yet flexible enough to straighten out my legs. Can I keep them bent with my forehead to the floor? Thanks!
Hi Sandra
Would you mind very much going to the Resource Centerand telling me if Rabbit is the pose you are asking about? I have my suspicions 😉 but it would be great to know exactly to which pose you are referring!

Gabrielle 🙂Hi Gabrielle,
Sorry, I thought I had explained myself…sometimes I find it difficult to express in words my experiences in the poses. Yes, it is indeed Rabbit Pose that I cannot quite grasp. I can bring my head forward almost near my knees but have difficulty lifting my behind so that I am on my knees. Is there a modification that I can do and in time hopefully I will eventually get the hang of doing the pose properly (or can any other pose take its place)? Thank you!Hi Sandra
My apologies! I was thinking you were asking how to straighten your legs from hip to foot (with no bend in the knee).
We’ll start with a question about straightening your legs first. Are you able to have the top of your foot on the floor so that your toes through to your knees touch?
Do you mean that you find it hard to lift your hips so that your legs are more at a right angle?
Precisely what part of your head is touching the floor?

Gabrielle 🙂Yes, my toes through to my knees touch and feet are on the floor and yes, I have difficulty lifting my hips so my legs are more at a right angle. The top of my head is touching the floor. Thanks for helping!
Hi Sandra
I have some queries for you now! For starters it seems quite hard to get the top of your head to the floor without lifting your hips up. My guess is that you have your hips up a distance but there is something going on with the use of your arms… Perhaps you can tell me what is going on there: Tension? Are they bent or straight? How do your shoulders feel? Where exactly on your back do you feel the stretch? These things will help me work towards a meaningful answer. Now if we really can’t get anything out of the answers you give me then we can resort to you sending me a photo!
