Hi! Im new to the forum and hoping to get some helpful hints. I completed my Teacher Training this year in Las Vegas. Im really enjoying teaching its the best job ever! However, unfortunately I have just recently injured myself. I think I have strained the Adductor muscles in my leg and it has left me unable to do Standing Separate Leg Stretching Pose and Standing Bow Pulling Pose. It is very frustrating not being able to do these postures as you could imagine. Do you have any helpful tips on how I can recover from such an injury. Many thanks!
Hi Erika
It’s fabulous that you love being a teacher. Hey, and you’re pretty local to me!
It’s a pity one doesn’t learn stuff like that at Bikram Teacher Training.
In order to help I would like to know more! For example how do you think you actually created this problem? Is it in one leg or 2? When you’re in Standing Sep Leg Stretching which leg hurts, one or both? And in Standing Bow is it the standing or ‘kicking’ leg?

Gabrielle 🙂Hi Gabrielle!
Thank you for your quick reply. I would love to practice at one of your classes one day, do you teach in QLD? Do you ever come to Victoria to conduct seminars? That would be great!
I believe I may have injured myself doing yoga but Im not 100% sure. I gradually noticed the pain, starting about 2 months ago. First it started in my right leg when doing Standing Bow (the standing leg felt strained). Then as I practiced more it became noticeable in both legs and I found that I was no longer able to touch my forehead to the floor in Standing Sep Leg Stretching do to the pain in my legs.
Hope you can help!
Thank you

Hi Erika
I am just in the middle of creating something yoga related and really need to think and ask you more questions about your issue at another time. I will be teaching in Hobart next month.
Contact me via PM or email if you would like to know more
