Hi, I’ve been thinking about attenting a hot yoga teacher training.
I have two small children so I don’t have the possibilily to leave country for a few weeks in a row to attent one of Gabrielle’s TT (even if I would just LOVE LOVE LOVE to do so!!! but no chance for me right now.. :’-( ).
There are a couple of schools in my area that offer a hot yoga TT. They both offer the 200hr courses certified by the Yoga Alliance.
My question is, is it important WHICH school the TT is completed at?
Are there big differences in each school?
What do I have to look out for when searching for a school to attent my TT at?Hi LuLu,
I am a graduate of Gabrielle’s teacher training and loved the training so much that last year I returned to assist. I’m guessing that you have already signed up to receive emails from HotYogaTeacher.com – Even if Gabrielle’s training isn’t in your immediate future, there is a ton of information there that any aspiring teacher will love.
Since the two schools you are deciding between are local I highly recommend taking classes at both studios. Ask if you can speak to recent graduates and even more importantly see if you can take classes from teachers that have graduated from each program. This should give you a better idea of any major differences between the programs and the teaching styles their students develop. You mentioned both schools are Yoga Alliance certified which means both schools will meet the Yoga Alliance criteria including hours dedicated to anatomy, philosophy, teaching practice, etc.
Choosing your school is a very personal thing. I suggest making a list of the things that are most important to you and contacting both schools to find the best fit for your needs. (At the top of my list was learning modifications which is why I ended up at Hot Yoga Doctor TT ;))
I hope this has helped!
Namaste,
Sara
