I have a fitness studio and would like to add hot yoga in the near future. Any have ideas about typical pay rates for a certified teacher leading a 90 minute class? Thanks!

    Hi Kristina

It could help us all a lot if you let us know in which country you are located.

Something to consider: Teachers who lead a 90 min class are really needed for at least 2.5 hours. One way to look at it is “what would I be comfortable accepting as pay for 2.5 – 3 hours work?”.

Remember too that you can consider paying a certain amount that’s a basis for that class with incentive for larger classes. There are many formulae.

Are you a yoga teacher? Would you like to write me personally either through the forum messaging system or perhaps at gabrielle @ this domain (hyd) .com? I may be able to give you some more pointers and perhaps even send some teachers your way.

    Namaste

Ah yes, good Q. I’m in the US, specifically a Connecticut cow town.

I’m a fitness studio owner but don’t teach yoga…yet. I’ve found a certified instructor who will teach 2x per week starting in March. Her drive is 20 minutes so I’ll take that into account. Since my budget’s pretty small I’m lucky her main goal isn’t money (of course). I’m hoping adding hot yoga will boost client numbers…and pay rates.

I don’t mind posting here so everyone can see, though if it gets detailed I’m happy to email you directly, thanks Gabrielle! Luv the book btw 😀
