also just to had to that last post, i just noticed its 100% vegan and organic. partnered with the glass bottle it seems like this is a very clean supplement. Which is important to me since I am very careful about what I put in my body.
i’m so glad to have come across this thread. i was doing lucas’ stretches and while excruciating at first,(especially at the shoulder and toe joints) they have REALLY helped me with my ability to do the asanas in class, with the standing back bend in particular. So… that being said, my next stop is the link. I wanna see for myself what all the buzz is about!!
Still using it – still love it! :cheese:
Bonmar, your puppy is ADORABLE!
Is Yogabody a dietary supplement? Bonmar mentions it keeps weight off. I love to do hot yoga while losing weight. Is there any side effects?
BTW, nice to meet you Bonnie on Saturday.
Hi Jeffrey
It’s really like taking some extra alkalizing greens with your food. Yoga Body caps would be just like eating more broccoli or kale with extra added nutrients and goodies. No side effects that I am aware of! Like anything you would consider the directions. I believe it’s 6 caps max per day. So long since I read the bottle. :cheese:

Gabrielle 🙂Minor side effect for me – if I take them too close to a class (ie up to 40 mins before) I find they repeat on me … and if this happens, the taste is, shall we say, “acquired”.
I know, not the most pleasant of posts, but you gotta know this stuff!
Robert
Thanks Gabrielle and Robert for the feedback.
Yes, Jeffrey, it’s fun to meet people I feel I already know from this forum! I hope to see you again at *our* studio.
Yogalifer (Cindy) that’s not my puppy, although it’s my *kind* of puppy. I just felt like changing my picture up, I’ll probably change back to *me* soon.
I have finished the whole bottle and it is quite large. I did not notice any improvement or any effect. Previously, I did try MSM and did not notice any difference while taking MSM is about equivalent values. That is disappointing considering I am unusually stiff and I have a long, long way to go.
I am trying another product but I have no reaction, no improvement with that product–described as a “miracle.” I do not doubt the positive responses for Lucas’ product–I suppose it just does not work for everyone.
Hi David
It could be that you really have a good diet and you are getting what you need and so the supplement is not adding anything to your constitution. If you are not getting any benefit then you’re right to let it go!
Thanks for your feedback!

Gabrielle 🙂Thanks for answering Gabrielle, I do have a good diet but the legendary stiffness in my body remains a problem. For fixed firm, I can only stand up on my knees and cannot go back at all without pain. I can barely touch my toes with my finger tips and I cannot hold my leg upright in the first standing pose because of pain in my hip joints. I do not consider myself arthritic but from my teen years–I have always had uncommon stiffness and this covers, my ankles, knees, lower back, shoulders and wrists.
After three years–on and off–of Bikram yoga–I have improved a bit. I do it because 1) I want to be fit and this is a great all-over body work out 2) I want to be less prone to injury and I drive a lot and lift a lot of heavy things so I think I need the yoga.
My mother, of blessed memory, said I should eat oil to loosen me up. Sadly, I am not a metal machine so that does not work.
I had hope with Lucas’ product and I had hope with other supplements but they have no positive effect. Any other suggestions beyond hot baths and showers?
David
Boonie or other Canadians,
Does YogaBody ship from US? Is there duty charges? How much is shipping to a Canadian address?
Hi Jeff
To the best of my knowledge there are no duty charges but then again I have never received a shipment in Canada! 😉
Probably best to go to the cart at Yoga Body site and add to cart and see what the shipping costs are depending on your chosen item…
Actually I just went and did this for you – it took a minute to find out that for the 3 or the 12 bottles shipping costs about $20 for either choice to Canada.
Hope that helps.

Gabrielle 🙂AnonymousGuestNovember 28, 2010 at 7:42 pmPost count: 98Any updates on how this product is working? I think some have tried this product a year ago? are you still taking it? Still feeling positive effects? Gabrielle? Bonmar? 🙂
The product does intrigue me!
NamasteHi Freia
Whichever way you look at it, it is a supplement. So, it’s a neat way to take some vital ingredients into your diet. How’s your diet? Do you take superfoods? Do you think you’re lacking? These are questions to ask yourself (you don’t have to answer them here, but go ahead if you want to of course 😛 ). I guess I am going to have to do a home-controlled study (no such thing 😉 ) but work out if I don’t take them, if there’s a difference to when I do!

Gabrielle 🙂Gab, I remember you saying you and Robert both had a harder time one day in yoga and then realized you’d skipped your Yogabody! That was a year ago, I think.
Hi Bonnie
Yes, I do remember that! About a year ago, I started buying almost exclusively organic food for the family, we started wholefood multivitamin supplementation, we started juicing EVERY day, we eat mostly raw food, (with a small cooked component every day). We (and particularly me) started taking lots of superfoods!
So that is why I mention that! I think that an element of practicality has to enter into it. And I am happy to disclose what I do along the way, complete with a change of approach. I still take my caps however not as many as before!

Gabrielle 🙂AnonymousGuestNovember 29, 2010 at 9:08 pmPost count: 98Thanks so much for the update! I really appreciate it.
namaste! This is my first time to look at the forum. I am very interested in the comments about Yogabody Naturals. I started taking them about 6 months ago and was amazed by the change. I had more energy, no longer had ‘the fancies’ for food, and wanted to be bending and stretching all the time. HOWEVER after a few weeks i started to get terrible pains in my kidney area. I stopped taking them and the pain went away. I tried again after a break of about a month, and started to get the same pain right away. Has anyone else had a similar side effect
Hi alison_w – thanks for posting and welcome!
No, we’ve not had any reports of this.
How many were you taking?
What other supplements/medication are you taking?
and wanted to be bending and stretching all the time
This is not really what they are supposed to do for you, you shouldn’t be attributing this to YogaBodyNaturals!
I’ll be interested in other points of view!
Hi Robert I was only taking half the recommended dose. I still have them in the pantry. I also take Usana Multi Vitamins
Hi Alison
Just wondering what happens if you take the supplement without your vitamins. Perhaps there’s something about taking them together.
Ultimately it’s just green sea vegies with MSM and vitamin C. So we really would have to just delve a little more deeply and see if anything else was different; see what else could be contributing to the problem, or indeed if you have an issue with that product.

Gabrielle 🙂Hi Gabrielle
I might try again just taking 1 or 2.
alisonHi Robert/Gabrielle
Remember I spoke to you about the side effects I had with the yoga naturals Stretch. Well I started taking them again. just 1 a day with plenty of water. after 3 days my whole body was itching, especially my scalp. I remembered then that when I was on them before I got a rash around my middle, so obviously I am allergic to something in themalison
