After reading all these amazing comments on the YOGABODY supplements I must say I am very keen to try them but I have 1 concern. What if you are already very flexible (I am a professional dancer)? Do you think these supplements could lead to over-flexibility which leads to injury. I know dancers need to work strength and flexibility together to prevent injury but it sounds like this product works fast, perhaps too fast for those of us who are already “bendy”?
Pls post your ideas and suggestions on this topic I really wanna know if this product is for me before I buy it.
Hi Marise
I think for the most part this product helps in providing a few key ingredients that help with creating an alkaline environment and seem to work well when taken with water prior to your class. There are different types of green ingredients (from the sea) and some MSM and trace minerals etc. It is not a magic formula per se. It is perhaps best to approach it from a holistic sense and how it works in well with a good, healthy mindful diet.
I think the right attention on building strength at any time in your practice with or without supplements is important. But I am pretty sure you won’t all of a sudden go hyper-bendy because of a green supplement.

Gabrielle 🙂My ultima replenisher is about to run out and I love to try Yogabody. Anyone know where it can be purchased in Canada?
Hi Jeffrey
It’s actually not available retail unless your studio is stocking it. Here’s the link to the online site: Yoga Body Supplement.
Someone out there correct me if I’m wrong: the YogaBody provides trace minerals, a trio of green stuff (spirulina, barley grass and chlorella) and vit C and some MSM. You still may need some electrolytes and for that why don’t you go the low cost route and take some pure unrefined sea salt or Himalayan salt. That way you can get the best of both worlds. 😉

Gabrielle 🙂Thanks Gabrielle.
I realize that it is only available on their website. I try not to buy stuff like that online to ship on shipping. It is quite expensive actually so I want to find another place that carries it.
So Yogabody doesn’t provide the water that you need? I know I still need to drink water before and during class.
Hello everyone…i am new to this forum and actually forums in general but can think of no better way to start then a forum about one of my absolutely favourite topics: yoga and feeling mentally and physically healthy! I discovered yoga 18 months ago in India and have been hooked ever since. During my first lesson i could only just reach down, from standing, to past my knees with my legs straight; and even this caused me to profusely sweat and my body to shake! Serious stiffness and lack of body fitness…my yoga teacher laughed and said i had the body of a 90 year old…charming! I very quickly felt the buzz and practiced every day and make rapid progress in flexibility, strength and have become a real fan of all the benefits that yoga can provide. However, after 18 months i still love yoga and try to practice every day, but i am still as stiff as a board and really want to improve….i am still feeling the mental benefits and love my shoulderstands, headstands, sun salutations etc but i want to touch my head to my knees, i want to do half lotus (can only dream of full lotus) etc etc…there is so much i want to achieve but i don’t feel i am making much, if any, progress on these fronts. So the reason for this post is to ask does this yogabody supplement really help, is it genuine and not just some expensice gimic? The internet is full of grand and often expensive claims about everything, so i need to be sure before i part with hard earned cash. What worries me is that if it does work then i will need to keep taking it forever as if i stop i will lose all my progress?…this could be very expensive. Please let me know what you lovely yoga people think? Also i would be interested if anyone has experience of taking the supplement chayawanaprash which is ayurvedic and known as the ‘elixir of life?’ I think it has great potential but may be a cause of watery stool…anyway enough said for now, all thoughts welcome…thanks and namaste Tom
Hi, tcbcrews – Yes, I can say Yogabody really does work and is not a gimic. It’s just “greens” per say that we all need. It helps in a teeny-weeny way, not huge gains, but gains none the less, and I will not stop taking it! It also helps with recovery, less soreness after a hard workout.
