    Yep, very good question.

    Although in my case, I think I definitely pulled a muscle. It happened early in the session, coming out of the standing forward bend, second pose, I think it was due to not being warmed up completely or came up too fast.

    Thanks alot for your prompt reply. Much appreciated, and comforting to know that you agree with the fact that I probably pulled a muscle in my lower back somewhere.

    Have you witnessed similar symptoms with others in the past during your hot yoga career of teaching?

    I am actually referring to all forward bends, including Janushirasana, head to knee pose on the floor. In that example it really hurts getting out of the pose…I will try to “walk” my way back up again (no pun intended).
