I think this is my first post but I’ve been lurking here for quite awhile. I’ve been practicing Bikram yoga for about 16 months now. The following is a reply I wrote a few months ago to someone else with a similar sounding problem. Maybe it applies to you as well.
“I had a similar condition a few weeks after I started practicing Bikram’s yoga. I went to my doctor and was diagnosed with a case of Costochondritis. I/we couldn’t say my practice was the cause of this condition but I was concerned. The doctor suggested I take it easy on any of the postures that induced pain and to take ibuprofen regularly for 1 week then once a day for the next week to speed my recovery time. It worked!
