thank you for your quick response! I have modified the sit up, slowed it right down and engage stomach, correct breathing and sit up more deliberately, making sure I go forward correctly, grab the ankles exhale, bringing the elbows toward the floor near the legs. I think it is a big improvement from the more slap dash approach I previously used.
I don’t think there is anything else that I am aware of, possibly the spine twisting, it isn’t one of my best postures, because I am quite inflexible I can’t grab my knee, but did notice some pain when turning over the right shoulder, so took it more easy on the other side. With half tortise, coming up I have modified it, pulling the shoulders back closer to the body and then coming up, I think that could possibly strain the area.
