BThis is a timely question as my yoga partner and I, practice 6 days a week in a heated Bikram Studio at 5:15 in the morning. (the studio owner used to practice with us until her mother took ill) We practice to the Bikram CD. We have just recently moved our practice fifteen minutes earlier (it used to be 5:30) The reason we did this is so we could add 15 minutes more Savassana and still be out by 7:00. We have both commented on how much more sustainable energy we have throughout the day. I used to get that “tired” feeling late in the day or even sometimes around 11 AM. With the longer relaxation I have not had any fatigue but even more energy then normal!
It worth a try, supplements are great but possibly the best supplement is more relaxation time.

I practice at a small Bikram studio where the average class is 4 to 5 with new comers every so often. I find that is when we hold the poses the longest. The teacher takes more time. I would hate to be in your predicament. I guess I only know the “one” way and we have a great instructor (diane polli) who is sensitive to all our needs and “reads” the class so well. And thats coming from a professional facilitator, me.
I like the timing on then Bikram cd and thats from the horses mouth!

2. hold the poses longer yourself with shorter rest
3. push to your limit each poseIs class 1.5 hours total?

If it were just me, my yoga practice and my piroformis syndrome, (maybe stuck on a deserted island) Would it ever go away? (the piroformis syndrome) :coolsmile:

I posted the original question and i want to thank you for replying. My research had all led me in the same direction with the stretch and the ball technique. But I was hoping that I could find an answer and equate it to my practice. Perhaps my triangle is not deep enough? Maybe my tree stand could be better, or in the final separate leg stretch I am not working the piroformis muscle enough or am I maybe aggravating it in these poses that seem to touch me there.
