On my 20th day I was able to go all the way into camel for the first time in over 6 years. I have concentrated on going deep into back bends and taking it easy on the forward bends and haven’t experienced anymore sciatica pain.
I found this information very helpful:

She goes into each posture and how to approach it with a back injury. I hope this helps anyone with back problems and encourages you to continue your practice through adversity.

I went to class and avoided too much forward bending. Everything went great. I am having some pain right now but I’m hoping a good night’s sleep will cure that. Nothing like last night, though. That was super scary. I plan to keep going to class everyday and stay ultra-aware of my body.

It’s not nearly as bad as last night. I’m not certain that it wasn’t a cramp causing pressure on the nerve. I’ve heard of that happening with internal obliques. I’m going to go for it and just be extra careful. I’ll post an update after class.
