Oh mines an odd one- It’s Tomato Juice, really spicy, and i can literally drink pints of it. I think it’s something to do with potassium, and not really being able to tolerate food after classes. I started off just craving the juice, but now I have gone tomato mad, and have them in everything.

The odd thing is I hated them as a child, never ate them at all as an adult, but now….

    Hi,

yes that was a very broad statement wasn’t it! I’m looking to improve my focus and form mainly. I have been practising for about 9 months, 4 or 5 times a week. I started my yoga journey about 2 years ago, and I love the time of meditation my practice gives me- my yoga teacher suggested i try hot yoga to give me a focused early morning class.

Despite some reservations, i really enjoyed hot yoga, and had been able to find a real focus in my practice.

Two things happened recently that I think may have caused me to lose focus and feel I am making no progress.

1.I got moved!- having spent most of my time at the back of the room, a teacher moved me into the front row, it feels very different up there, and at times almost competative.
2.I practised just after my stepmother died, and found it totally overwhelming, I panicked and left the class.

Since then I find myself worrying every class that I might have to leave, and I lose my focus on myself really easily, someone lies down, or leaves the room and I get distracted. Poses that I previously really enjoyed, I now just feel a bit “stuck on”, and i find myself doing only one set.

I am sure this will all pass, as I still want to go to classes, but wonder if there is anything i can do?

    Thanks

    lesley
