Hi Kfliano2000. I don’t have the book at this time. I try because it seems like you’re suppose to try. when they show pictures of a side bend, the lady/person looks like a complete C. I look like a small turn in the road… So I would do it, until it hurts. No wonder I don’t enjoy it.
you did well. that back bend is what I did this morning and now I’m still hurting… I was just trying to practice doing 3 poses, (asanas) at a time. And I didn’t know where/why I was doing that back bend. So I had it right. If I do the breathing, then the side bend/half moon with consits also of back bend,, then I’ve done only 2 poses. Thank you. I was dizzy after that so I stopped. Dizzy and sore.
Had to take naproxyn.in reply to: Problems with skin on my neck #10414nothing comes to mind but just a flushing going on. Could be contact dermatitis.
in reply to: Skinny fit types hegemonize hot yoga? #10406Newbie – OP – I would say, just because they are of a smaller body frame, does not make them fit. There can be skinny people who are not fit and they are there to get fit for their body type. They worry also. WE are all brought up, or some so more then other countries comparing ourselves. WE are our worst critic in anything we do. Anything. So of course when you see 5 other thinner people then yourself you feel out of place. It happens in anything. I could feel the same way because I’m african american. I’m the only one there… Same thing. I’m trying to just get fit, not compare mybody to theirs. I have what i have and I’m growing to accept it and make it the best I can. I left a class feeling fat but that was because, I am new, I don’t know the poses and I have rather large top side. I always want to have a before and after picture like so many. I’m hoping yoga will show me some changes that are noticeable.
in reply to: sitting up in between postures #10405thank you Bunni and Gabrielle. Things like this do help in knowing I’m going to be okay. I will be practicing at home from now on so maybe I won’t be holding my breath as much. yes, I can see how I was holding but didn’t notice when it was happening until I took a big deep breath. If that makes sense. You think you’re breathing and you really not.
I’m so very exciting. I really want to do this. Learn like a lesson instead of just do this do that and not do it correctly and not know what to expect. They do not tell you this in classes because I see we are all at different levels in class so they don’t want to *boar* the regulars but they leave the rest of us in the back row to figure it out.
in reply to: Problems with skin on my neck #10404Could it be her skin cleaning out? You know they say sometimes things get worse before they get better.
Your body may be ridding it self of toxins where it’s needed or where it can.
