I have good news! My doctor was very surpised (shocked)….
I had my cholesterol levels checked on 10-14-11 (fasted 12 hrs) and they were:
Total Cholesterol: 282
HDL: 44
LDL: 121
I had them checked again on 10-29-11 (fasted 12 hrs)and now they are:
Total Cholesterol: 188
HDL: 37
LDL:121
My doctor said I do not need to go on Chol. lowering drugs. Here is how I lowered my cholesterol levels in 2 weeks. I quit drinking Coconut Milk – high in Fat and I drank it every day. I also quit eating the whole fat Greek Yogurt – I loved it but now eat the fat free type. I also lowered most fat in my diet and increased my consumption of fish 4 x per week – mostly smoked sardines nad smoked herring from Trader Joe’s.
I’m going to stick to this low fat diet and increase hot yoga to 5 -6 x per week. Everyone I spoke to said I could only lower my Cholesterol levels by about 10% with diet…. well that’s just not true – I’m very happy!
