Its amazing that you have gone every day right from the start! I’m 47 and I have been practicing for almost a year.
I too am overweight (I have lost 20 pounds and have about 25 to go) I was a size 16 and now I wear a size 10. When I first started doing Bikram I did 2 classes a week and it totally wiped me out! I noticed changes in my body relatively quickly and that motivated me to keep going.
I used to sit out about half of the class because my heart was beating very fast and I got dizzy. Now I can do the
whole class and I’m totally addicted! My flexibility has improved so much and I have made quite a bit of progress in
the postures. Its exciting to see myself in the mirror and see the changes in my body and my ability to stay focused.
Bikram has been the best weight loss program I’ve ever used. I have to be honest I really haven’t changed my eating
habits very much.
