    You should consider working on the front and side planks. They will really strengthen the core overall. WIthout that core strength, anything like the lifting lotus will be extremely difficult.

    Personally I like to take it slower in colder rooms. The muscles take longer to stretch out when they are cold. But I don’t think it’s bad for you. In fact, it’s probably good to do yoga in a variety of conditions, whether hot or cold. A bit of a warm-up routine that gets your heart rate up is a good way to start when your muscles are cold.

    by09, are you a vegetarian or vegan? Some people find they sweat less if they cut meat out of your diet. That might make a difference, if you’re eating meat presently.

    There are a lot of different types of material for yoga mats. For hot yoga, the stickier, the better. Some eco-friendly mats like TPE are not sticky enough for hot yoga unfortunately.
